An injection-molded plastic kit of the Italian twin-engine aircraft Caproni Ca.313/314 in 1:72 scale from Italeri. It is a limited anniversary reissue of the original 1972 tooling in period packaging with a hologram of authenticity and a serial number. Because of the age of the tooling, expect older technology such as raised engraving.
The Caproni Ca.313 was a twin-engine all-metal aircraft of the late 1930s powered by Isotta Fraschini Delta engines. The Regia Aeronautica used it for light bombing, reconnaissance and observation. The Ca.314 version was adapted for attacks on ground targets, for maritime patrol and as a torpedo bomber.
With older tooling, take the time to clean up the parting lines and to dry-fit the parts; any raised engraving can be restored with a scriber after filling. Finish the cockpit and the glazing before the fuselage is closed up. Paint with an airbrush over a base coat, and a clear coat under the decals will improve their adhesion.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
