1:72 Cessna C-180/C-185/U-17 Skywagon canopy airbrush mask is a set of self-adhesive masking templates for the cockpit glazing, not a kit. It makes it possible to spray the cabin frames of a model in 1:72 scale cleanly and quickly.

This item is not a model of an aircraft but an accessory for a build - a set of masking templates intended for the clear parts of the cabin. It replaces the laborious cutting of masking tape, on which the final impression of the cabin depends with the tiny frames of 1:72 scale. The templates are stuck onto the clear part, sprayed over with the color of the frames and removed once dry. The set is from MH models and belongs to its range of aircraft airbrush masks.
The Cessna 180 and the Cessna 185 Skywagon are single-engine high-wing monoplanes with a fixed tailwheel landing gear, which came about as all-purpose machines for carrying people and cargo from short and unprepared strips. The military equivalent of the Cessna 185 is the U-17, supplied to allied air forces and used for liaison, observation and courier duties. All the versions share a richly glazed cabin with divided side windows and a windshield, so masking is one of the most demanding operations when building a model.
First wash and degrease the clear part, so that the template holds reliably. Lift the individual masks out of the sheet with the tip of a sharp knife or with tweezers and stick them exactly onto the areas that are to stay transparent. Press the mask down carefully all round the edge, above all in the corners and on the curved transitions - a wooden toothpick serves well. Cut any remaining gaps between the templates from the waste material of the sheet or fill them in with masking tape. Spray the frames first with the shade of the cabin interior and only then with the external finish, so that the glazing does not look translucent. Apply the paint in several very thin coats, because otherwise it runs under the edge of the mask. Take the templates off shortly after they have dried, carefully and at a sharp angle.
