1:72 Chengdu F-7 BASIC Kabuki Masks are self-adhesive masks in yellow kabuki paper in the basic extent: the glazing of the cockpit, the other clear parts and the wheel hubs.
Responsibility details are not available.
The BASIC level covers what a modeler always needs: the cockpit cover, the remaining transparent parts and the wheel hubs. The masks are cut into the shape of the frames, so they are only peeled off the backing, offered up and pressed on. In 1:72 scale this way is markedly more accurate than cutting tape by hand.
Behind the designation stands the Chinese branch of the Soviet MiG-21F-13 concept, whose production was taken over by the plant in Chengdu. The machine kept the slim fuselage with a circular air intake in the nose, a movable center cone and a delta wing. It was precisely its simplicity and low cost that made it an export article: under the export name F-7 it reached dozens of air forces in Asia, Africa and the Middle East, and with some of them it stayed in service into the 21st century.
Rid the surface of the clear parts of grease before sticking the masks on and smooth the mask down with a toothpick, so that no bubble is left anywhere. Spraying the color of the interior of the frames first and only then the covering shade of the fuselage proves itself. The remaining areas of glazing between the masks are covered with a piece of tape or with masking fluid.
The package contains the masking sheets only, no plastic or photo-etched parts.
