An injection-molded plastic kit of the Allied Canadian Chevrolet C60S truck with a fuel tanker body, in 1:72 scale from the IBG models brand. The set contains plastic sprues and, depending on the contents, small extras as well (photo-etched parts and decals). The model is built from the parts, glued and painted.
The Chevrolet C60S belonged to the large family of Canadian military vehicles known as CMP (Canadian Military Pattern), which was built during the Second World War in enormous numbers to British specifications for the Commonwealth armies. The tanker version supplied fuel to tanks, aircraft and armored vehicles directly in the field and was one of the typical machines of the Allied rear areas on every front.
Use liquid cement for plastic and clean the small parts up carefully. Paint the cab and the chassis before final assembly. A coat of primer, an airbrush and final washes and pigments to bring out the detail and the grime typical of a working vehicle all suit it well. The tank body and the wheels lend themselves nicely to dust and spilled fuel effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
