Responsibility details are not available.
The third part of a decal line from the British brand Xtradecal in 1:72 scale for the Vought A-7 Corsair II carrier attack aircraft. Like the earlier parts it contains a selection of motifs of its own that does not overlap with the other parts. The package consists of printed decals only: plastic parts, paints and varnishes are not part of it. What exactly you will find on the sheet is given on its packaging.
In the US Navy the Corsair II made its name as a dependable carrier of armament for attacks on ground targets, valued for its range and accuracy. Its relatively simple aerodynamics and robust undercarriage suited operations from decks. During its service the schemes of the machines shifted from bold squadron markings to subdued gray patterns, which makes the type a rewarding subject for modelers who want to build several machines in different forms.
The order of work is what decides. Decals belong only on finished gloss varnish and before the weathering, not the other way round. If a wash or a pigment is laid on the model first, the decal no longer has a clean smooth surface to cling to. The recommended sequence is therefore base paint, gloss varnish, decals, thorough drying overnight, a thin gloss varnish again as protection, then the wash and the emphasizing of the panel lines, and finally the unifying matte or semi-gloss varnish. With this procedure the decal will neither wash away nor go matte unevenly.
The package contains decals only. The kit, paints, varnishes and weathering products are not part of it.
