Responsibility details are not available.
A collector's model of Czechoslovak light fortification – a Ropik of the LO vz. 37A type in the 160Z variant in 1:72 scale from the manufacturer ROP o.s. The casting is made as a plaster body with resin parts and is set on a terrain base. The model is supplied to be glued together and painted; it is intended for collectors of fortifications and builders of dioramas, and rather for the more experienced modeler because of the work with resin.
The light bunker model 37, known popularly as the Ropik, was the most widespread element of Czechoslovak light fortification from 1937 and 1938. Unlike the earlier model 36 it fired to the flanks — the embrasures pointed sideways toward the neighboring bunkers and the front was covered with earth. Type A fired in both directions; the designation 160Z gives the angle between the axes of the embrasures (160°) and the strengthened level of resistance.
Wash the resin and plaster parts, clean up the casting remnants and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Concrete is imitated with a gray base and sandy and greenish glazes, with a wash into the corners and the edges picked out with a dry brush. Finish the terrain base with pigments, static grass and vegetation for a faithful impression of the border landscape of 1938.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
