A decal sheet in 1:72 scale focused on aircraft of the Sukhoi design bureau in foreign service. The name states four camouflage variants, so the sheet makes it possible to mark several machines in different national colors. The decals are wet, released by water, and are applied to a finished painted model.
The abbreviation OKB denotes a Soviet and later Russian experimental design bureau; Sukhoi's stands behind a long line of combat aircraft, from the jet fighters of the 1950s through ground-attack machines to modern heavy fighter types. From the 1960s Sukhoi aircraft entered service in a number of states outside the Soviet Union, where they received their own national insignia, serial numbers and different camouflage schemes adapted to the local environment. It is precisely this variety that makes export machines a rewarding modeling subject, because the same type looks different with every operator.
You will get the best results on a smooth surface oversprayed with a gloss clear coat. Cut the design out as close to the printing as possible, soak it in lukewarm water and let it rest until it will slide on the backing. Once it is in place, draw off the water with a paper tissue and push out any bubbles with a soft brush. On large areas, such as the insignia on the fuselage or the stripes on the fin surfaces, it pays to use a decal softener. Unify the model with a matte varnish at the end.
