This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale captures the American Diamond T 968 truck in the cargo flatbed configuration. The model was released by the Polish brand IBG Models as a new mold. It is supplied as a set of plastic parts, with a decal sheet of American markings from the period of the Second World War enclosed; the exact package contents are not stated here.
The Diamond T 968 belongs to the series of four-ton 6x6 trucks that the US Army put into production at the beginning of 1941. The 968, 969 and 970 versions covered the cargo flatbed, the heavy wrecker and the dump truck. Diamond T trucks served on practically every battlefield of the Second World War and to a lesser extent after it as well; some Allied units used them too.
Finish the running gear and the interior before you close the cab and the body. We recommend a primer coat, spraying with an airbrush and weathering with washes and pigments to bring out mud and dust effects. Liquid cement for plastic will make work with the small parts easier.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
