A masking set for a model of the American Douglas A-26B combat aircraft in 1:48 scale. The masks are stuck onto the glazed areas before spraying.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Douglas A-26 Invader is an American twin-engine combat aircraft from the end of the Second World War that combined the speed of a light bomber with hard-hitting gun armament. Version B can be told by the solid nose with guns instead of the glazed position for a navigator, so the glazing is left on the crew cabin and on the remotely operated turrets. It is exactly these areas that decide how the model turns out: a cloudy or overpainted cockpit spoils the impression of the whole build.
Masks prepared in the shape of the individual glazed areas of the model in 1:48 scale. They do away with cutting tape against a ruler and, above all, with guessing where the edge of the glazing runs. The extent of the set, that is, which areas and possibly which other parts it covers, and the kit it is cut for, are given in the instructions enclosed by the manufacturer.
This is an add-on masking set for a kit. The aircraft model, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
