The real subject

The E-100 was the heaviest of the German projects of the so-called E series, which were worked on at the very end of the Second World War. Only a partly built chassis came into being before the fighting ended; the machine never reached series production and never went into combat. The version without a rotating turret, that is, an assault gun with the barrel built directly into the hull, was never produced and remains one of the project subjects that collectors like.

The workmanship of the model

The model is classed among collector pieces, so it is a finished model for a display case, not a kit. The 1:72 scale is the most widespread in collector ranges of military equipment, so the model goes well in size with the other vehicles in the same collection and takes up little room on a shelf despite the dimensions of the real subject.

Where it fits

The piece will be appreciated by collectors of late-war German equipment and by anyone interested in machines that remained on the border between a project and reality. It looks good paired with an ordinary tank of the same scale, where it stands out how much more massive the E-100 design was. It will also serve as an addition to a diorama scene, if you do not mind that the model is not intended for conversion.

Care of the model

Place the model out of direct sunlight, which harms paint over time. Sweep the dust off with a soft brush, and when carrying the model hold it by the hull, never by the barrel or by the small fittings. Behind the glass of a display case the dust settles more slowly and it is enough to check the model a few times a year. Paints, glue and a display case are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
