A workshop aid, not a kit. The metal body of the board ensures that the sanding surface stays flat even after longer work and under greater pressure. That is the main reason sandpaper is stuck onto a rigid carrier and not worked with loose in the hand. The brown version is one of the color variants offered in this range.

Use

• Stick the self-adhesive sandpaper onto the board over its whole surface, without bubbles. Any unevenness under the paper is carried into the sanded surface.
• Sand with straight strokes in one direction, and with the finishing grits turn the direction through ninety degrees now and then so that you can see which scratches still remain.
• The board suits long fuselage seams, taking edges down and leveling putty flat.
• On thin parts and around engraved lines keep the pressure low, as a rigid holder forgives less than a soft sanding stick.
• Change the paper as soon as it starts to polish the surface instead of sanding it. A clogged abrasive works slowly and heats up.

For modelers who work on large flat areas and want them free of waves, and for anyone finishing a surface before painting. It is a small piece of equipment, so it pays to get several and keep a different grit on each, which saves time in moving between sanding steps.

Do not breathe in the sanding dust and work in a ventilated space. Sandpaper is a consumable and is changed according to how worn it is.
