A collector's model of the German E-100 heavy tank in 1:72 scale. The machine remained a project, so the model captures its proposed form.
Responsibility details are not available.
The E-100 was a German project for a heavy tank from the end of the Second World War. It belonged to the Entwicklung series, which was to replace the varied range of existing types with a few related designs sharing common parts. The E-100 stood at its heaviest end and was to be the most massive machine of the whole series. Work, however, got no further than the partly built chassis of a single machine; the turret was never built and the type never reached the units. The word Wehrmacht in the name therefore refers to the German armed forces as the intended operator, not to actual service with the troops.
This is a collector's model in 1:72 scale, that is in the size in which a collection of ground vehicles can be extended without outgrowing the display case. Models in this scale stay comparable with each other, so the difference between an ordinary machine and a projected one stands out side by side. Details of the finish, the markings and the extent of the delivery are given on the manufacturer's packaging.
Stand the model on a flat surface out of direct sunlight, which changes the shade of the paint and the lettering over time. Wipe the dust away with a soft brush, as a cloth catches on protruding features. Solvents and cleaning products do not belong on the surface. When handling it, hold the model by the hull, never by the barrel or another thin part. In a display case it stands out when you add a label with the designation and a note that it was a project.
Paints, glue, a display case and modeling tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
