Responsibility details are not available.
A pre-cut self-adhesive set of masks for the frame of the cabin. The segments are stuck onto the clear part, cover the glazed areas and the frame is then sprayed with an airbrush. Once it has dried the mask is taken off and a clean boundary between the finish and the glass is left.
The Douglas B-66 Destroyer was an American twin-engine jet tactical bomber derived from the carrier-borne A-3 type. Several specialized forms arose from the airframe, among others reconnaissance ones and the versions for electronic warfare designated EB-66. A model of this type has a fairly large glazed area, so masking is one of the steps that decide the overall impression.
Most of the work is spoiled only at the end, while peeling off. Do not put it off until the next day, when the finish is fully cured and the hard film breaks exactly at the edge of the mask. The ideal moment is shortly after the paint loses its gloss and is dry to the touch. Lift the mask with the tip of a wooden toothpick, not with a metal point, which will scratch the glass. Then pull it slowly back over itself, at the sharpest possible angle to the surface, not straight up. If a tiny bit of paint does come away after all, the edge can be corrected with a fine brush and polished over.
