A set for bounding the landing gear bays of the EF-111 Aardvark jammer, 1:72 scale, derived from the parts of the Monogram and Revell molds.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set belongs to an EF-111 Aardvark model built from the Monogram or Revell molds. Stating the manufacturers is necessary, because the individual molds of this type differ around the landing gear.
Converting a combat aircraft produced a specialist in electronic warfare nicknamed the Raven. It carried no armament and its task was to blind enemy radars with strong jamming before the attack machines reached the target. The bulky equipment fitted into the bomb bay and into a conspicuous housing at the top of the vertical tail, thanks to which the type is unmistakable. Only speed, altitude and the ability to fly low over the terrain counted as a weapon for it. It stayed in service until the end of the 1990s.
The inner surfaces on this type tend to be very light, and light tones precisely have poor covering power. Lay an even base on first, therefore, and only onto it the final shade, otherwise the color of the plastic and dark filled seams show through. Remove a stencil slowly and at a slant, not straight off the surface. Keep the last coat as thin as possible.
