The F-14A Tomcat port side cannon installation in 1:72 (CMK) is a resin detail set showing the cannon installation with the panel open. It is not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set from the manufacturer CMK for sharpening up a model of the F-14A Tomcat in 1:72. The set shows the installation of the built-in cannon on the port side of the nose with the service panel open, which makes it possible to display the model with the equipment realistically exposed. It is not an airplane model but an accessory for experienced modelers.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat was an American two-seat carrier fighter with a variable-geometry wing. Besides missiles its armament included a built-in M61 Vulcan rotary cannon mounted in the port side of the nose. An exposed cannon installation is a rewarding subject for maintenance scenes.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with detergent to remove any mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutter, not by snapping them. Bond with cyanoacrylate glue. Use airway protection when sanding. Bring out the open installation with a wash and a dry brush.
An add-on resin set. The model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
