The set contains a resin under-nose sensor pod, the so-called chin pod, carried under the nose of the F-14A/B Tomcat fighter. This variant matches the early configuration. The casting from the Czech brand Quickboost is sharper and cleaner than a plastic part and fits easily in place of the original.
The chin pod is a conspicuous element under the nose of the Tomcat. The early version has different equipment from later aircraft, so the correct pod helps to capture the particular period of the aircraft's service faithfully.
Cut the part from the casting block, wash off the mold release residue and glue it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Fill any gaps with a drop of glue and filler and sand them. Protect your airways when sanding resin.
