Eduard pre-cut self-adhesive F-18F masks in 1:72 scale. A masking set for clean spraying of the canopy glazing and the wheel rims; it is not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive pre-cut painting masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard in 1:72 scale. It is not a model, but an accessory for the build: the masks are used for clean, precise spraying of the canopy glazing frame and for masking the wheel rims. The thin film follows the shape of the frames and of the canopy exactly, so the laborious cutting falls away and the edges stay sharp.
The F-18F is an American two-seat carrier-based multi-role fighter from the Super Hornet family. The twin-engine machine serves with the US Navy in air combat as well as in attacks on ground and surface targets, and the second crew member lets it handle the more demanding missions too. The glazing of the large bubble canopy and the framing of the windshield are among the prominent features that are worth spraying accurately.
Lift the mask off the backing, seat it on the glazing and press it down. Spray the frames with an airbrush, first in the interior shade and then in the exterior color, and peel them off once they are dry. Cover the large transparent area of the canopy with masking fluid or tape. Degrease the glazing before applying, for better adhesion.
This is not a model of the aircraft, but a set of masks. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
