An injection-molded plastic kit of the American McDonnell Douglas F-4J Phantom II fighter in 1:72 scale from Academy. The model comes in the version of an aircraft of VMFA-232, a squadron of the United States Marine Corps. The package holds plastic parts, clear cockpit parts and a decal sheet for period markings.
The F-4 Phantom II was a two-seat, twin-engine multirole fighter, one of the most significant combat aircraft of the Cold War. The F-4J version was developed for the US Navy and the Marine Corps and brought more powerful engines and modernized avionics. VMFA-232 is one of the long-established fighter squadrons of the US Marine Corps.
We recommend thin cement for plastic and cleaning up the sprue gates. Finish and paint the cockpit with its pair of seats before closing the fuselage. Apply a primer, spray the covering shades with an airbrush and bring up the panel lines with a wash. Apply the decals over a smooth gloss finish and overcoat the model with the matching level of sheen.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
