Eduard 1:72 F-86 Sabre is a photo-etched detail set, not a model. It adds to a plastic kit of the F-86 Sabre the fine metal detail that injected plastic cannot manage.
Responsibility details are not available.
This product is not a kit but a photo-etched detail set in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It holds fine etched parts that sharpen and enliven a plastic model of the F-86 Sabre - they complete and replace the details that injected plastic cannot capture faithfully.
The North American F-86 Sabre was an American jet fighter with a swept wing, an icon of the early 1950s. It became famous for the dogfights over Korea in what was called MiG Alley, where it met MiG-15 fighters. It was one of the first Western aircraft able to fly close to the speed of sound and at the same time an elegant, well-handling fighter used by a number of air forces around the world.
The photo-etched parts are intended for advanced modelers. The individual items are separated from the fret with a sharp knife, bent in a bender or over a sharp edge and joined with super glue (cyanoacrylate); larger areas can also be soldered. Degrease the parts before gluing so that they hold well. Unify the assembly with a coat of primer, followed by the airbrush and gentle accenting with a wash. The set is an accessory for a plastic F-86 Sabre kit in 1:72 scale, which has to be bought separately.
