Peewit — die-cut painting masks for the F3D Skyknight, 1:72 scale are a self-adhesive masking set for plastic models, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A precisely die-cut self-adhesive masking set from Peewit for plastic models of the American Douglas F3D Skyknight jet night fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not a model or a kit but a painting accessory that is bought separately. The masks are cut to the shape of the cockpit glazing and other areas of the model, so you can spray the frames with crisp edges without laboriously cutting out tape. The material holds on the edge of the frame and leaves no adhesive on the glazing once removed.
The Douglas F3D Skyknight was an American jet night fighter with a two-man crew sitting side by side and with a bulky onboard radar, on account of which it had a wide, roomy fuselage. The US Marine Corps deployed it in the Korean War, where it escorted bombers at night and, with a high ratio of kills, protected them and itself from enemy fighters. It was neither a fast nor an elegant aircraft, but it was all the more effective in the role of night hunter.
Degrease the glazing and let it dry. Transfer the masks with tweezers, lay them into the frames and press the edges down with a toothpick against paint bleeding underneath. Spray the shade of the frame first, then the base coat and the camouflage, and remove the masks while the paint is still fresh.
This is a masking set, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
