Eduard 1:72 F4F Wildcat are die-cut painting masks for precise masking of the cockpit glazing and other clear parts of a model of the carrier fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely die-cut painting masks from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:72 scale. It is NOT a model but an accessory for modelers: self-adhesive masks of kabuki tape that cover the cockpit glazing and other clear surfaces during spraying. Thanks to them the glazing frames come out straight and sharp without laborious hand masking.
The Grumman F4F Wildcat was an American carrier fighter of the Second World War with a radial engine and a stocky fuselage. As the main carrier fighter of the US Navy in the first years of the war in the Pacific it earned a good reputation despite its poorer performance against Japanese machines, thanks to its toughness and proven tactics.
The masks are die-cut to the shape of a particular kit in this scale. Lift the part off the sheet, lay it on the glazing and press the edges down with a pointed stick along the lines. Spray the color of the frames and peel the mask off. Kabuki tape holds well and leaves no adhesive behind.
This is a set of masks, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
