Eduard 1:72 F4U-1 Corsair are die-cut painting masks for precise masking of the cockpit glazing and other transparent parts of a model of the American carrier-based fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely die-cut painting masks from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:72 scale. It is NOT a model but an accessory for modelers: self-adhesive masks in kabuki tape which cover the cockpit glazing and other clear areas while spraying. Thanks to them the frames of the glazing come out straight and crisp without laborious masking by hand.
The Vought F4U Corsair was an American carrier-based fighter with a characteristic inverted gull wing in the shape of an inverted W and a powerful radial engine. The F4U-1 version was the first production form. The Corsair ranked among the highest-performing fighters of the Second World War in the Pacific and went on serving in the Korean War as well.
The masks are die-cut to the shape of a particular kit in this scale. Lift a part off the sheet, lay it on the glazing and press the edges down with a pointed wooden stick along the lines. Spray the color of the frames and peel the mask off. Kabuki tape holds well and leaves no adhesive.
This is a set of masks, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
