This finely cast resin set refines the landing flaps of the American Vought F4U-1 Corsair carrier fighter with its distinctive inverted gull wing, in 1:72 scale. It replaces the parts from the box with faithfully rendered flaps with fine texture and makes it possible to set them in the lowered position. The set is intended for more advanced modelers with resin experience.
Lowered flaps give a static model immediate dynamism and faithfully suggest a machine ready for takeoff or landing. The casting captures the fine texture and thin edges that are hard to create from solid plastic. Once painted and lightly weathered, the transitions between wing and flap look completely natural.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
