A resin detail part, not an airplane kit. These resin machine gun barrels replace the plastic parts from the base kit of the American F6F Hellcat carrier fighter in the -3 and -5 versions in 1:72 scale. Thin, straight castings protruding from the leading edge of the wing look more faithful than the thicker plastic weapons from the box.
The Grumman F6F Hellcat was an American carrier fighter of the Second World War with a Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial engine. The standard armament was six 12.7 mm heavy machine guns mounted in the wing. The muzzles on the leading edge are a small but conspicuous detail where it pays to reach for a finer, more accurate rendering.
