Full-color 3D decals of the restraint straps of the ejection seat derived from the Mk.10 type for versions of the Hornet in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Hornet first flew at the end of the 1970s as a machine meant to replace several older types at once with the Navy: it managed the fighter and the attack role without changing weapon pylons, and the switch between them was handled by electronics. That is exactly why its designation carries a slash. The set is aimed at the single-seat and the two-seat versions of the first generation, which used a seat derived from the British Mk.10 series in the cockpit.
On the sheet you will find shoulder and lap straps, buckles, equipment attached to the seat back and a pull handle. The print is layered and in full color, so the edges of the straps stand above the surface of the seat once glued on and cast a shadow of their own when seen at an angle. Painted straps always look flat at this scale, and here the difference is apparent at once.
The work starts with the seat: paint it, let it cure and free it of fingerprints. The individual straps are then slid off the paper onto their place after soaking and pressed down with a brush moistened with clean water. They can be bent over edges while still supple, so it is possible to lead them over the edge of the shell to the rear as well.
In modeling practice the Hornet is often built with the canopy swung open, because the cockpit frame is slim and the interior can be seen into well. It therefore pays to give the seat a moment more; the difference between a painted suggestion and a three-dimensional harness is unmissable when seen from above.
The contents of the envelope are a single printed sheet for the cockpit. You need a kit of the aircraft of your own.
