A detailed resin set from Aires intended to improve a model of the Soviet Sukhoi Su-17/22 M3/M4 fighter-bomber, NATO reporting name Fitter K, in 1:48 scale. This is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that replaces or supplements the chaff and flare dispensers, that is the dipole reflectors and the flares. In this version the dispensers are empty, with no cartridges fitted. The set is made of cast resin and replaces the simplified parts from the base kit.
Faithfully rendered countermeasure dispensers add realism to a model in places where a plastic kit offers only simplified shapes. The accessory comes into its own above all on a detailed build meant for display.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks with a saw and clean up the surfaces. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Dry-fit them in the fuselage before gluing, then spray the matching shades.
This is an accessory, not an aircraft model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
