Cut self-adhesive painting masks from Peewit for the Fairchild UC-61 / F.24 Forwarder / Argus in 1:72 scale. It is not a model but a set of masks for a clean coat on the glazing.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of precisely cut self-adhesive masks for the American light utility aircraft Fairchild F.24, known also as the UC-61 Forwarder and the Argus, in 1:72 scale. It is not a kit but an accessory for painting. The masks are punched from masking material and follow the division of the cockpit glazing, so masking is quick and the frames stay sharp.
The Fairchild F.24 was a four-seat single-engined high-wing aircraft of the 1930s, popular as a liaison and touring machine. During the Second World War the British Air Transport Auxiliary (ATA) used it in large numbers under the designation Argus Mk.I to III to move crews when ferrying new aircraft from the factories to the units. In American military designation it carried the name UC-61 Forwarder.
Lift the masks with tweezers and lay them precisely on the frames of the glazing. Press the edges down properly so that paint cannot seep under them. Spray the glazing with the interior color first and then with the opaque shade of the fuselage. Apply thin coats and lift the masks while the coat is only tacky; the edges will then stay sharp. Wipe any adhesive residue away with a moistened cloth.
The set contains masks only. The model itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
