Focke-Wulf Fw-190A-8/R2 1:72 painting masks are pre-cut Eduard kabuki masks for accurate masking of the glazing and the wheels.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of pre-cut painting masks from Eduard, made of kabuki film and intended for models of the Focke-Wulf Fw-190A-8/R2 fighter. The masks follow the shape of the canopy frames and the other clear parts exactly, usually the wheel hubs as well. It is not a model or a decal sheet, but an aid for spraying the framing cleanly and quickly.
The Fw-190A-8 was one of the most widely produced versions of the German Focke-Wulf Fw-190 fighter of the late Second World War. The R2 subvariant carried heavy armament intended to destroy Allied bombers, including larger caliber cannon. The aircraft stood out for its rugged structure, a powerful radial engine and pleasant handling.
A degreased and dry surface is the foundation. Lift the mask off the sheet, lay it on the glazing, press it down and trim it to the frame if needed. Apply the paint with an airbrush in thin coats and peel the mask off before the finish has fully hardened, so that the edges stay crisp.
The masks are an accessory for a model. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
