A detail accessory for models of the twin-engine Focke-Wulf Fw 58 Weihe in 1:72 scale. It is a vacuum-formed (vacuform) clear canopy from the Rob Taurus brand, which replaces the thick-walled plastic canopy from the box. It is not an airplane model but a replacement canopy.
Vacuum-formed canopies are thin-walled and clear, thanks to which they look more realistic in scale and show the interior of the cockpit better. They do away with the effect of thick, distorted glazing.
Cut the part out with a small margin, sand the edges down thin and dry-fit it to check the fit. Glue it with thin super glue or with a cement for clear parts, so that no fogging occurs. The frames can be masked with tape or with a ready-made mask.
The accessory contains no plastic model and no paints; it serves only as a replacement canopy.
