1:72 Folland Gnat Canopy airbrush mask is a set of spraying masks from MH models for the cockpit glazing of a model of the British Folland Gnat light aircraft in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of self-adhesive masks cut to the frames of the cockpit canopy of a Folland Gnat model in 1:72 scale. In a small scale cutting tape by hand for tiny frames is particularly thankless, because any inaccuracy shows immediately on a finished model. A pre-cut mask holds the shape of the frame and the boundary between the paint and the clear part stays sharp. It is an accessory to a model, not a kit of the aircraft.
The Folland Gnat was a British light jet aircraft of small dimensions and low weight. In its two-seat training form it served with the Royal Air Force as an advanced trainer and a well-known aerobatic team flew it as well; the single-seat fighter version went to foreign operators, where it proved itself as a cheap and agile machine. It is exactly the combination of simplicity and small dimensions that is characteristic of the Gnat.
Wash the clear part in lukewarm water with detergent and let it dry. Transfer the small masks with tweezers or with a dampened brush tip and press the edges down carefully, because in 1:72 scale the smallest gap is enough for paint to seep under. Apply the shade of the interior of the frames first, then the external color, and spray perpendicular to the surface in several thin coats. Remove the mask shortly after it has dried, still before the final varnish, and wipe the remains of the adhesive away with a soft cloth without solvent.
The package contains masks only. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
