A resin kit of the American battleship USS Nebraska BB 14 in her state from the period of the First World War, in 1:700 scale from the Czech maker ROP. The model is intended for experienced modelers with experience of resin. The castings capture the silhouette of a Virginia class pre-dreadnought.
USS Nebraska was the second unit of the Virginia class, commissioned in 1907. She carried a mixed battery of four guns of twelve inches and eight guns of eight inches with an unusual arrangement of the turrets. She took part in the cruise of the Great White Fleet and after the First World War she served as a transport ship bringing soldiers home.
First wash any mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and sprue gates and sand the surfaces down with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The model suits a base or a water surface (waterline). A primer and shades of naval gray with suitable accenting of the decks and the superstructure are recommended. Fine railings and fittings can be added with photo-etched parts.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
