USS Missouri BB-63 1945 Deluxe Edition is a richer boxing of the plastic kit of the American battleship in 1:700 scale from the maker Vee Hobby.
Responsibility details are not available.
The kit from Vee Hobby captures the American battleship USS Missouri as she was in 1945 and offers her in the form designated Deluxe Edition, that is in a richer package than the basic box of the same ship, which also exists. With ship models, Deluxe boxes usually differ in extras added beyond the plastic; the particular contents of this package are stated on the box. The basis stays the same: a conventional plastic kit that has to be assembled and painted.
USS Missouri was one of the Iowa-class ships, the last generation of American fast battleships. She carried nine 406 mm guns in three three-gun turrets and 127 mm dual-purpose guns completed by extensive anti-aircraft armament. The high power of her machinery let her keep pace with aircraft carriers. She entered history on 2 September 1945, when the surrender of Japan was signed on her deck.
With a richer package it pays first to sort out what is plastic and what is of other materials, and to choose the glue accordingly: plastic on plastic with a thin cement, metal and photo-etch with cyanoacrylate. Degrease the metal and photo-etched parts before painting and prime them. Paint the deck and the sides of the hull separately and deal with the boundary using masking tape. Fit the small anti-aircraft armament and the masts at the very end. At the end even the finish out with a matte varnish and apply any effects of use sparingly, as in this scale heavy weathering quickly looks unconvincing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
