FuG 212 Lichtenstein C-1, a 3D printed radar in 1:72 is a fine aftermarket replica of the antenna system of the German airborne radar, for models of night fighters.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail accessory, not an airplane model. The set contains 3D printed antenna elements of the German FuG 212 Lichtenstein C-1 airborne radar in 1:72 scale. The parts replace the coarse or missing antennas from a plastic kit with faithfully rendered pieces for models of Luftwaffe night fighters.
The FuG 212 Lichtenstein C-1 was a German airborne search radar used by night fighters to find targets in the dark. It was distinguished by an array of dipole antennas projecting from the nose of the aircraft. This characteristic antenna array is one of the most striking features of German night fighters, and a faithful rendering of it lifts the impression a model makes considerably.
Separate the fine parts carefully from the print supports and clean the surfaces up. Gluing with cyanoacrylate glue is recommended. Paint the fragile antennas separately and fit them right at the end of the build, so that they do not bend or break off.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
