15 cm sIG33 for mechanical traction 1:72 is a plastic kit of the heavy infantry gun of the Wehrmacht in the version for towing by a motor vehicle.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the 15 cm sIG 33 heavy infantry gun in 1:72 scale from the maker First to Fight. It is the variant of the carriage adapted for towing by a motor vehicle, not by a horse team. The kit is designed with a sensible number of parts and clear instructions, so even a less experienced modeler can manage it; decals are in the package.
The 15 cm schweres Infanteriegeschütz 33 was the heaviest infantry gun of the German army of the Second World War. It served for direct fire support of the infantry against fortified positions and pockets of resistance. Originally it was horse-drawn; later motorized traction prevailed, and the carriage was adapted for it. For its caliber the gun was relatively heavy and unwieldy, but all the greater was the firepower it gave the infantry.
Separate the parts with a cutter and join them with a thin cement for plastic. Before painting apply a primer, which evens the surface out and brings out the molding. We recommend an airbrush or a good brush; the barrel and the carriage are well brought out with a dry brush and a light patina of washes and pigments that imitate dust and mud from the battlefield.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
