A finished collector model of the Westland Lynx shipborne helicopter in the Mk.88 version in Marineflieger markings with the serial 83-18, 1:72 scale, maker Easy Model. The model is supplied assembled and painted, markings included, and is ready to display as soon as it is unpacked.
The Lynx is a twin-engine helicopter of British origin developed for land-based and shipborne use alike. The naval versions are typified by a semi-rigid main rotor, robust landing gear for setting down on a moving deck and a folding tail section, thanks to which the machine fits into the hangar of a frigate. The Marineflieger operated the Lynx from the decks of frigates for anti-submarine and reconnaissance duties and for transport between ships and the shore.
In 1:72 scale the Lynx stays small and, with the rotor blades spread, takes up width on a shelf rather than height. It pays to set aside a place for it at the edge of a shelf, where it does not have to be handled past the other models. The cabin glazing on a helicopter is a large area where dust shows first, so an enclosed display case comes in useful. Carry the model by taking hold of the fuselage under the cabin, never by the rotor blades or the tail boom.
The model is supplied finished, assembled and painted. No glue, paints or tools are needed. Protect it from dust and from direct sunlight.
