MASTER 1:72 pitot tubes for the Gloster Javelin are accurate turned metal parts that replace the plastic pitots on a model of the British night fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of accurate turned metal pitot tubes from the manufacturer MASTER in 1:72 scale for a model of the Gloster Javelin. It is not a model of the aircraft but a refining accessory that replaces the dimensionally coarse or vulnerable plastic pitots from the base kit with a faithful metal part.
The Gloster Javelin was a British two-seat all-jet night and all-weather fighter with a characteristic delta wing and a high-set T-shaped tail. It served with the Royal Air Force from the middle of the 1950s. The pitot tube senses dynamic air pressure for measuring speed and is a typical fine detail on the nose or the wing.
The metal part separates cleanly from its carrier and is glued into a pre-drilled hole with cyanoacrylate. Metal holds paint better once a base coat has been applied. The tube is fitted among the last steps, so that it is not bent during further handling.
This is an accessory, not an aircraft kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
