Yahu Models colored instrument panel 1:32 – Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX (early version) is a colored photo-etched panel ready to be glued straight into the cockpit of a model with no painting needed.
Responsibility details are not available.
A colored laminated photo-etched instrument panel from the manufacturer Yahu Models in 1:32 scale. It is not a model of an airplane but a detail accessory for the cockpit, which replaces the plastic or decal instrument panel from the kit and markedly raises the realism of the pilot's compartment. The panel comes already finished in color and is self-adhesive, so it can be fitted without painting.
The Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX was a British single-seat fighter with a Rolls-Royce Merlin engine fitted with a two-stage supercharger. It came about as a quick answer to the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190, and the early version kept the older layout of the cockpit.
The panel is made up of fine photo-etched layers with faithfully rendered dials, switches and labels. The parts are separated from the fret, set one on top of another and glued in place of the original panel in the cockpit. We recommend a dry fit first, work with tweezers and, if needed, securing with a drop of super glue. Painting the instrument panel is not necessary.
This is an accessory for a cockpit, not a complete model. A matching kit is needed to use it; neither the kit nor glue is included in the package.
