Peewit TBF-1 Avenger / Tarpon Mk.I 1:72 — spray masks

A set of precisely die-cut self-adhesive masks for spraying the frames of the glazing cleanly on the model of the American carrier-borne Grumman TBF-1 Avenger torpedo bomber. Under the name Tarpon Mk.I the same machine served with the British Fleet Air Arm. The masks cover the frames of the cockpit, the glazing of the dorsal gun turret and the wheel hubs. These are not parts of the model, but an aid for masking.

Use

• Peel the mask off its backing and lay it on a clean transparent part.
• Press it with a wooden skewer into all the transitions of the frames, so it seats well.
• Spray the color of the frames, ideally the interior shade first and the exterior one after that.
• Once the paint has dried, take the masks off carefully.

Who the set is for

For aircraft modelers in 1:72 scale who want sharp glazing without the laborious application of tape. The Avenger was the main carrier-borne torpedo bomber of the US Navy during the Second World War.

The set contains masks only. Paints, glue and the model are not included in the package.
