A sheet of waterslide decals in 1:72 scale from the British manufacturer Xtradecal. It is neither a kit nor a finished model: it is an accessory with which you mark and complete a model of the Handley Page Victor bomber. According to the name the sheet covers both main development series of the type, that is the Mk.1 and the Mk.2. The particular machines, units and the extent of the national insignia are given by the manufacturer on the packaging and in the instructions supplied; before buying we recommend comparing what the manufacturer gives on the packaging with what you want to build.
The Handley Page Victor was a British four-engined jet bomber with a characteristic crescent wing and a high-set horizontal tail. It belonged to the trio of post-war British strategic bombers together with the Valiant and the Vulcan. The Mk.2 version received more powerful engines and a revised airframe structure. A considerable number of the aircraft were later converted into aerial tankers and served in that role long after the original task had ended.
Even in 1:72 scale the Victor has large continuous areas, and the sheet for it contains correspondingly large decals. Transfer a large-area decal onto a smooth, clean and previously dampened surface. Let it come off the backing paper gradually rather than in one go, and press the water and the air bubbles out with a soft cloth from the center toward the edges. A large piece of film will take a little extra water: while it is damp underneath, it can still be moved. Only once it is perfectly dry should you go over the area with a clear varnish, which beds the edge of the film into the surface.
A decal sheet is not a kit. The model, paints, varnish and glue are not included in the package.
