The sheet brings water-slide decals in 1:72 scale for a model of the Handley Page Victor aircraft in the K.2 version. According to the name it is tied to machines of No. 55 Squadron committed over Iraq and is designated as the first set, to which the manufacturer issues a follow-up part as well. It is a standalone accessory applied to a finished and painted model; the particular schemes are illustrated on the packaging.
The Handley Page Victor was a British four-engine jet aircraft with a characteristic crescent wing and a high-mounted horizontal tail surface. In the K.2 version it served as an air-to-air tanker, that is, a machine intended for refueling other aircraft in flight. On a model this role shows above all in the refueling pods under the wings and in operational markings different from those of the bomber version. The great size of the aircraft means extensive smooth areas of fuselage and wings in 1:72 scale.
On the large cylindrical fuselage of the Victor the decals bend over a pronounced curve. Use decal softener: apply the first layer onto the base even before laying the decal, the second on top once it has seated. The softener softens the film and it is drawn against the shape of the surface. While it is curing do not touch the decal and do not try to straighten it, since temporary wrinkling is normal and disappears once dry. With long strip decals it is safer to divide them with a cut into shorter sections and to lay those one after another.
This is a decal sheet, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
