Injection-molded plastic kit of the German twin-engined bomber Heinkel He-111 H-3 in 1:72 scale from Hobby 2000. This boxing combines proven Hasegawa plastic with Cartograf decals and concentrates on machines deployed on the Eastern Front in the winter of 1941. Compared with the boxing for the Western Front it contains different color schemes, including one user allied to Germany in the east. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Heinkel He-111 was one of the main German medium bombers of the Second World War, with its characteristic fully glazed nose. Compared with earlier machines the H-3 version had strengthened defensive armament and Junkers Jumo 211 engines. From 1941 He-111s operated on the Eastern Front in hard winter conditions; besides German units they were used by Germany's allies as well. The crew consisted of a pilot, a navigator and bomb aimer, and gunners.
The fully glazed nose and cockpit are the heart of it: the interior is visible through the glazing, so give it time. Protect the clear parts with masks, glue the joints with liquid cement for plastic and build over a base coat (primer). The winter Eastern Front invites a striking rendering of the temporary white winter finish over the standard camouflage, and chipping techniques come into their own here. Cartograf decals sit best on a gloss coat.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
