UM 1:72 Hetzer (early version) Tank hunter is a plastic kit of the early configuration of the German Jagdpanzer 38(t) tank destroyer from UM (Unimodels).
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Ukrainian maker UM (Unimodels) captures the German Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer tank destroyer in its early configuration. The set usually holds photo-etched parts and plastic tracks built up by the link-and-length method.
The Hetzer was created on a chassis derived from the Czechoslovak LT vz. 38 as a low, well-armored tank destroyer with a 75 mm gun in a fixed casemate superstructure. Sloped armor plates increased its toughness while keeping the silhouette small. The vehicle was produced from 1944; early examples differed from the later ones in details of the fittings, in the stowage of the tools and in the form of some hull features.
Assemble the running gear before you close the hull and give attention to the fine photo-etched parts; glue them with cyanoacrylate glue and the plastic with liquid modeling cement. We recommend an airbrush over a primer, a multi-color camouflage and weathering with washes and pigments for mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
