1:72 House base is a universal ground for a diorama with a dwelling building, which the Black Dog brand offers for models of 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The basic building block of a city display. A dwelling building set into a section of terrain is the most universal backdrop a modeler can have. It suits hardware and figures alike and binds the result to no particular period.
Whereas pronounced subjects can be used only once, an ordinary house will carry anything. By changing the coloring of the facade, the kind of roofing and the accessories around it you shift the display to another country and another period without touching the base itself. That is exactly why this type of ground is worth acquiring first.
First a light base over the whole area, then patchy toning in two or three close shades, then a thin dark solution into the joints and finally a dry brush on the edges. This sequence will keep every facade readable. Color the window openings and their reveals darker than the area around them, or the house will flatten visually.
The transition between the foot of the wall and the terrain is the place where haste is most often recognized. Add a fine deposit of soil and dust here, so that the edge between the structure and the ground disappears. The result thereby gains in conviction at once.
A model, figures and painting means are not part of this item.
