Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit of the Soviet IS-2 heavy tank (the mod. 1944 version, of ChKZ production) in 1:72 scale from S-model. The box contains two models in a quick-build concept, supplemented by a small photo-etched part and a decal sheet with several marking options. The set suits collectors as well as players who need to build several vehicles at once.
The IS-2 (Iosif Stalin 2) was a Soviet heavy tank of the closing stage of the Second World War. It carried a massive 122 mm gun able to destroy even the heaviest German tanks and bunkers, and at the same time it had well-sloped hull armor for its weight. It was committed in the guards heavy tank regiments as a strike force for breaking through the enemy defense, especially in the fighting for cities in the last year of the war. After the war it served in the armies of a number of countries.
These are the small parts of a quick build - clean them up carefully and glue them with a light touch; attach the photo-etched part with cyanoacrylate glue. Paint the running gear and the return rollers before you cover them with the fenders. For Soviet vehicles a base green coat (protective green) with an airbrush works well, together with washes into the recesses, edge highlighting and pigments for dust and mud on the running gear. The two models can be finished in two different schemes.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
