Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German tank destroyer Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer in the late production variant, in 1:72 scale from Vespid Models. Vespid are among the quality manufacturers: the kit has finely made parts, photo-etched additions and a metal barrel. The model is meant to be built out of the box with an excellent level of detail.
The Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer was a German light tank destroyer of the Second World War, built on the proven chassis of the Panzer 38(t) tank of Czechoslovak origin. Its low, steeply sloped armored superstructure and the anti-tank gun mounted in it made it a difficult target and a weapon that was cheap to produce. It was used in the closing stage of the war. The late production differs from the earlier series in details of manufacture.
On a vehicle, deal with the running gear and the lower areas before you close up the hull: on a finished model you can no longer reach them. Clean and degrease the metal barrel for better paint adhesion. Glue the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. For weathering, use washes in the recesses and pigments for mud and dust effects on the running gear and the underside of the hull; accentuate the dry transitions with a dry brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
