Responsibility details are not available.
A set of Omask masking stencils for models of the Soviet Yakovlev Yak-1 fighter in 1:72 scale. The masks are precisely cut from yellow kabuki masking tape and follow the shapes of the canopy glazing frames and of other small parts as required. It is not a part of the model but an aid that makes clean, fast painting easier.
The Yak-1 was one of the first modern Soviet fighter aircraft of the Second World War, of mixed wood and metal construction, deployed in large numbers on the Eastern Front. It became the basis of the whole successful line of Yakovlev fighters.
The pre-cut masks are peeled off the sheet, stuck onto the glazing and used to frame the areas to be sprayed. That gives crisp, even lines with no paint bleed; once the varnish is on, the masks come off easily.
This is a masking accessory, not a paint or a part of the model. Paints are not included in the package.
