This resin detail set contains a faithfully rendered exhaust nozzle for the JAS-39C Gripen aircraft in 1:72 scale, in the closed position (as it looks at a lower engine thrust setting). It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory that will replace the simplified part from a plastic kit and raise the realism of the tail of a model.
The Saab JAS-39 Gripen is a Swedish single-engine fourth-generation multirole combat aircraft. The C version is the single-seat standard adapted for international operation. It is powered by a single turbofan whose nozzle changes its geometry with the regime: in the closed position it has a smaller exit diameter.
First wash the parts to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks carefully and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Use super glue (cyanoacrylate) for bonding. The inside of the nozzle comes into its own once it is painted in metallic shades with the heat-stressed surfaces lightly picked out.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin accessory for a kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
