Eduard 1:72 JAS-39C Gripen, interior S. A. is a color self-adhesive photo-etched set for the cockpit, intended for the Revell plastic kit. It is not an airplane model but an accessory, and the kit has to be bought separately.

This is NOT an airplane kit. It is a detail set from Eduard, color photo-etch for the cockpit and interior of the JAS-39C Gripen in 1:72 scale, designed for the Revell plastic kit. The model itself is sold separately.
S. A. stands for self-adhesive. The etched parts come printed in color from the factory and carry an adhesive layer on the back: the instrument panel, the side consoles and other cockpit features are simply peeled off and stuck straight onto the plastic part. There is no need for cyanoacrylate glue and no laborious painting of instruments and dials with a brush. That is exactly how an S. A. set differs from ordinary, uncolored photo-etch: it is fast, clean and easy, and that is the main reason modelers buy it.
The cockpit of a single-seat fighter is really small in 1:72 scale. Painting legible dials, switches and belts in it with a brush is beyond most modelers. Ready color and the fine metal relief of photo-etch therefore bring the greatest leap in realism in this scale, and take the least work.
The Saab JAS-39 Gripen is a Swedish multirole supersonic fighter. The JAS-39C is the single-seat version; the two-seater is the D version. If you are building the two-seater, this set is not for it. The Gripen also serves with the Czech Air Force, so it is one of the few contemporary combat aircraft that can be built in Czech markings.
Separate the parts with photo-etch scissors or with a knife on a hard surface, and never break them off with your fingers. Make the bends on a photo-etch bender or over the edge of a rule. Degrease the plastic surface before sticking them on (with alcohol, for example), as the adhesive layer then holds considerably better. If you want to secure the joint, use a drop of cyanoacrylate glue applied on the tip of a toothpick; polystyrene cement does not work on metal.
This is not an airplane model but an accessory. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
