Ju 188 1:72 — a set of self-adhesive Eduard painting masks made of yellow kabuki paper for clean unmasking of the extensive glazing and the wheels of a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A precisely cut set of self-adhesive masks from the Czech manufacturer Eduard for a plastic model of the Junkers Ju 188 bomber in 1:72 scale. The masks, made of fine Japanese kabuki paper, hold well, follow curved surfaces and leave no adhesive when taken off. They cover the intricate cockpit glazing and the other clear parts so that after spraying only the frames stay sharply outlined. The set usually includes wheel masks as well, for painting the tire and the hub separately.
The Junkers Ju 188 was a German twin-engine bomber of the Second World War, an improved development of the Ju 88. Its recognition features were the extensively glazed forward cockpit with the so-called butterfly layout and the enlarged tail surfaces. The Ju 188 was used as a bomber and as a reconnaissance aircraft, with better performance than its predecessor.
Take the mask off the sheet with a sharp blade or with tweezers, lay it on the part and press it down all round. Apply the paint in thin coats so that it does not creep under the edge. Remove the masks while the lacquer is still fresh. On an extensively glazed cockpit work patiently, pane by pane.
This is an accessory, not a model. The kit itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
