This decal set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard contains the complete technical stencils for a model of the Junkers Ju-87 dive bomber in 1:72 scale. They are waterslide decals that add the small service and warning markings, access panel labels, filler necks and other operational lettering spread over the whole airframe. They are not national insignia or color schemes, but the finishing touch that makes the surface look realistic.
Factory-fresh and frontline aircraft alike were densely covered with small markings, and those markings give a finished model its scale credibility. Painting them by hand is practically impossible, so printed decals with exact positions taken from the drawing in the instructions are used instead.
Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss finish, ideally over a coat of gloss clear varnish. Use a decal softener so that the markings settle even over raised detail and riveting. Once dry, seal the surface with a matte or satin varnish to suit the character of the aircraft.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
